Some of you know that in June we adopted a dog. My plan was to wait until school was out so we could all get used to each other. I am happy to report that Dexter is a love of a dog and we are all smitten with him. He sleeps with either Tim or Rich and I every night. After his morning trip outside he runs back in and jumps back in bed to snuggle. How can you not love that.
Today both Tim and I head back to school and Dexter will be home without us. Fortunately, Rich comes home at lunch time to walk him and for the most part I will be home a few hours after that.
What is he going to do without us there to love him?? I suspect he will spend some time curled up in our bed waiting for us to come home. He is a very good dog and well behaved when he is home alone. I just hope he doesn't miss us too much. I know we'll miss him!

Hi, Dexter....gosh, you're a sweet-patootie! Oh, he'll be missing all of you for sure...But how happy he'll be when you get home! :o) Hope this first week back to school is going well so far. Oh, and don't be afraid of the jam making...The recipe I linked to is the easiest they come--few ingredients, few kitchen equipment items, big yum! :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
Dogs are animals who know how to love unconditionally. We could all learn from them.
I bet Dexter is going to miss y'all bunches and bunches!!

Oh I know what you mean. I hate leaving Abby when my vacation time is over too. Well the good thing is that Rich will be home and can spend some time during lunch with him...you'll have to give him extra loves at night when you get home.
He'll soon settle into a routine and snooze while you are away...and he'll sense when the time you'll be home too...

Good morning Dawn. Dexter is an adorable dog. I know how much a little furball can get into your heart. They almost become a person don't they? I am sure Dexter will miss you, but sleeping the morning away is what dogs do. Dexter will be fine, not to worry.
We miss our Babette so much. But, good news. We are in the process of getting a poodle this very day. We know a breeder in GA. and her dogs are having litters this month. We are anxiously waiting to pick one. We should have a puppy sometime in Nov.

Hey Dawn. Whats up??? How is Dexter doing without you? Poor baby.
We have picked out our new baby poodle. She is red with a whitish face and forehead. I will post her photo soon. She is brand new and so tiny. We have only seen her newborn photo with her eyes still closed. Beverly said baby poodles are ugly. She will eat those words, just wait and see. Laughing.
