This photo was taken from my deck with my zoom lens. Last year my son in law, Jay was over and noticed this pink in the woods. Our back yard is town conservation area so there are no homes etc. out there. Yesterday while I was outside I noticed the pink again.
I took Dexter for a walk and saw this rhododendron that was huge out in the woods. I brought Dexter back in and grabbed my camera. It is about five feet wide and four to five feet tall. I'm not sure how it got out there. Someone must have thrown it out into the woods and it just started growing out there. Britt asked about digging it up to put in her yard. I think that it is so big you'd need to get a backhoe out there and I don't think that is possible. I like seeing it through the green. It's very pretty.
take care,
Dawn

I think you should leave it just where it is. It is like a gift for you.

It is stunning and so surprising to see a spot of color with all the green.
That is gorgeous! Love the color!
Dawn, you're back. Yipee! How odd to see the pink out there but look how beautiful it is. I'm not sure it could stand to be transplanted at this point. sigh.
I am happy to see you posting. We have been traveling and it is so hard to visit everyone. Posting isn't so hard bur visiting takes so much time.
Enjoy your summer dawn.
Hugs xoxo, Jeanne
