Last week Tim and Rich were having breakfast (not my favorite meal!) and they noticed these two turkeys in our yard. I of course grabbed the camera and ran outside to get the picture. :)
I wonder if these are the same two turkeys I saw walking down the road on day in June. We live on a quiet cul de sac and there is conservation land in our back yard. I've seen deer, coyote and now turkeys.
I remember bringing Britt home about a year or so ago and she had 13 turkeys in her front yard! That was the first time in my 40 plus years on Cape Cod that I had seen wild turkeys roaming around.
Come November where will they be though?
take care,

Gosh, when the turkey photo flashed up, I thought is it Thanksgiving already--LOL! But what fun to see them close up. Their feathers are beautiful... Happy weekend, Dawn ;o) ((HUGS))
I think they should be fed NOW if November is going to produce a Thanksgiving meal; those are some skinny turkeys. LOL
Still in the wild, I hope and not on the dining table!
Ooh, Dawn. Don't even think it!!! ;-)
Really, this is way cool.
I'm so glad you were able to get this photo Dawn--how neat it is. We have a doe and two fawns that have been walking through our yard this past week, but they are so shy that I can't get a photo. If they see any movement even inside the house, they are gone!
What magnificent birds! I can't imagine looking up and seeing them over the breakfast table, how funny. You are lucky to live near so many beautiful creatures.
Hi Dawn, your turkeys are so much fun to see them in your yard. We see one sometimes and e never get photo. One time we did have about thirty in my sister's yard. You got a good shot Dawn. I bet Tim was excited.
I am going to say goodnight. I decided to check your blog first I am glad I did.
Hugs...Jeanne
Turkeys! I know we'd never see soemthing like that walking down my street.
Hi Dawn
How brave that couple of turkeys were just walking around your lawn...they'll be long gone in November...not feeling so confident or if not on someone's plate maybe...
hope you are doing well...

My gobbler is worn out. ;-)
Hi Dawn, it just doesn't seem right not to say hello each day. So here is my greeting for today.
I hope you have a great day.
Hugs, Jeanne
