Do you remember these?

Do you remember the Smurfs? I got my first Smurf figurine right before Britt was born in 1980. I had quite a collection of these. I still have many of them down in my basement among all of the TOYS!!! down there. They were very popular in the 80's. I remember the TV show with Papa Smurf!! I even still have my Smurf Christmas record.
Do you have anything you collected back in the day that you might still have?
Yesterday was such an uneventful day for me. I went to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned. Then I did a few errands. I was so tired that when I got home I fell asleep. Tim was at a friends all day yesterday. Rich and I even got to go out to dinner by ourselves. That never happens.
I checked my pedometer before I went to bed last night. I only had 3,021 steps for the entire day. At school I have that much by 9 AM. I did meet my goal of 50,000 steps for the week and beyond! I hope I can keep it up next week.
take care,
Dawn

I sure remember the Smurfs...they look so funny. I didn't really "collect" anything. I did love baby dolls and barbie dolls though. But, I don't have any of them from my childhood.

So you had a slack step day, it's alright...you will be right back on track in the morning! Glad you had a fun Saturday!

hey dawn,

i used to watch the smurfs growing up, every saturday morning. i didn't collect the figurines though. they are so cute. i actually work with an anesthesiologist that's about 10 years older than me, and sometimes he wears these bright royal blue scrubs to work, and i told him one day that he looks like papa smurf. do you know he did not even know what i was talking about? he's never heard of the smurfs. some people really do live under rocks i think...have a good rest of the weekend.

Hi Dawn,
I remember the smurfs...and thought that Kelli collected them...but she just told you she didn't LOL

Congratulations on your steps! You are doing great. I exercised 3 days this past week. LOL.

That isn't much but 3 is more than 0 as we teachers try to get across!

Sure, I remember the Smurfs, although I never had any. I don't think I have anything except what has been given to me by my mom.

I noticed your smile right off! Clean!

I'm so happy that you had a restful day. I hope that today is used to relax so that tomorrow won't hit you hard.

I have several odds and end of things I collected through the years. My trouble is that they are all packed away, but I am very unorganized, so I can never find what I'm looking for.
I'll bet those Smurfs would fetch a pretty penny on EBay!

Oh my goodness, what a smile that picture put on my face! I've still got a collection of PEZ dispensers from long ago. We found them during the summer when we were trying to get ready for a garage sale. Decided not to sell them though.

Wow...must have felt good to go to the dentist and just have your teeth cleaned, huh? :)

Of course I remember the Smurfs. They were popular when my son was a little boy.

It's okay to take a day to rest. You deserve it.

Dawn, today is my day of rest. I just can't seem to get going. Smurfs are so cute, my kids loved them. I bet they are pretty collectible by now. Good for you on your walking goals. Now, about that treadmill. smile.

Hugs, Jeanne

I used to have a Smurf Atari game when I was a kid. It was like Pitfall but with Smurfs and mushroom houses. ;-) My little sister was really into them and a Saturday could not go by without watching them.

Good job on your steps goal. That is awesome! I need to buy a new pedometer. My old one fell into the toilet and no longer works. LOL

Oh my goodness, I haven't thought about the smurfs in a long time! I always wondered how smurfette lived with all those men! LOL! Congrats on reaching your goal of 50,000. No wonder you were exhausted! :) ~Rhonda
