American Idol

I have been a fan of American Idol for several years now. I started watching during the third season. I am so looking forward to the start of this new season.

It starts to get funny at school when those of us who watch it start the "water cooler" talk about what happened and who said what, etc. That's half the fun sharing the show with friends.

I am typing this on Tuesday night so I haven't seen the first show yet. You can bet that I was in front of my TV set to see the new season begin.

I think with these types of shows there are always the LOVE IT or HATE IT kind of people. As far as reality type show go I generally don't like them at all, but this one has me hooked.

take care,
Dawn

I am not a big fan of AI, but I usually do watch some after they get down to the final twelve. I did watch "the Davids" last year.

I spotted your pretty new header and jumped right up and got my coffee! Thanks, it sure is good!

I used to watch every show, right from the first season. Last year, I watched a bit here and there. Last night, I was at a meeting and didn't have the chance, so I don't know if I would have turned it on. I guess it's getting old to me.

You've been tagged!

I am right there with Beverly. I also watched "the David's" last year, but only because David Cook is from this area. THEN my pal Bonnie got us tickets to see the tour when it came to KC. We sat in the nosebleed section of the Sprint Area and couldn't see a thing, but the singers were good and David C was great.
I DO love the dance shows--So You Think You Can Dance and Dancin With The Stars.
Glad you're feeling better. My hubby and I have been battling some kind of a Coughing Crud. We're on the mend, too, but it takes awhile to fully rebound!
Have a great Wednesday!!

I watch way too many of these type of shows! We sat and watched Idol last night and laughed away. There are always those crazy people on there that really are funny. I got teary eyed at the last contestant though and was so glad they put him through.

I am with you. I am a lover of the show and have been watching it since the first season when I was rooting on Kelly Clarkson. LOL I just don't get tired of it and love when they find a real singing talent and the American Dream of striking it big happens before our eyes. Thats the best part.

As far as reality type shows go, I generally don't like them either. But I'm not totally immune, because we love Project Runway. I actually have a feeling I would enjoy AI. But if I never watch it the first time, I can't get addicted, right?

I'm not a big fan of AI. We used to watch it as a family when it first came out. We watched the first and second seasons "together" but after that I got burned out. I do tend to watch after all the try outs and settle in with my hubbs (who loves the show) and watch the final weeks.
I hope you enjoyed the show. Do you pick a fave right off?

Hi Dawn, I bet you think I was AWOL and in a way I was. My computer is so slow I gave up this morning. same trouble last night. It is still going at a snail's pace. Sigh. I have tried to visit and my comments just hung forever.

I too love Idol and last night was up to it's usual entertainment status. LOL. I really love that show.

I hope you are feeling better today.
Take care.

Good morning Dawn, I am so bent out of shape. I slept through Idol last night. Darn I hate that. Were there any great singers? I can't ask Beverly, she doesn't watch it.

We are having a serious cold spell here. 9 degrees tonight and 7 degrees tomorrow night. Brrrr. 29 degrees today and windy and even colder tomorrow. What happened to global warming???

Have a happy day.

Love...Jeanne

I've watched Idol from the first season. For the last few years my mom and I and several of my 4 siblings all get into an online chat room once a week and chat while we watch together. It's fun and a great way to keep us connected. Chris Daughtry one of the runner ups from a couple of years back (He leads the band Daughtry now)lives in my town!
