What's for dinner?

I really am getting tired of the same old same old for dinner all the time. My husband and son are soooooooo picky! I think both of them would eat hamburgers every night if I let them. Vegetables are like a four letter word around here too. Rich will eat green beans and corn and Timmy will only eat raw carrots. He used to eat green beans but doesn't seem to like them anymore. I, on the other hand, like MANY vegetables. It seems we have the same staples for dinner: hamburg, pork chops, chicken (accompanied by tears with Timmy), ham, spaghetti; mashed potatoes, noodles, rice, baked potato mac and cheese; and that's about it.

Last night I was just about done with the tears. I made a cheesy chicken and Timmy just about gagged taking one bite! I wish it were easier. It makes dinner planning so difficult.

take care,
Dawn

i feel that pain. sometimes it's nice to cook for just yourself even if you always have leftovers. =P because at least you get to eat all the things you like.

kids who wont eat give me angst. enter kenzie who will sometimes go days wanting to eat nothing but yogurt and mac and cheese.
blah.
but i love chicken and will always eat your leftovers for you. plus i married a very non-picky eater who likes everything as well.
cheesy chicken...mmmmmm....

I, too, feel your pain, Dawn! I'm lucky, because Rich isn't too finicky. But my boys sound just like Timmy! Raw carrots (on occasion) are also the only vegetable I can get Max to eat. Gray's a little better. And I do manage to sneak in zucchini and sweet potatoes from time to time in muffins and breads. Gray's daily reaction when he arrives at the table for supper is, "Ewww. I'm not eating that or that or that. I'll only eat that." So aggravating!
I wish you all the luck in the world on expanding their horizons!

I love veggies but DH cannot eat them because of IBS...DD isn't too picky but it makes for very boring meals!
