Yesterday's post about unimportant information about me got me thinking about, well, more unimportant things...especially food.
I am a very picky eater. I always have been. One of the things that I still eat (that I loved as a child) is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Oh, and it has to be Skippy peanut butter. The thing is that when I make this sandwich I love to put potato chips right smack dab in the middle!!! I love how the sandwich crunches when I eat it...and it's salty flavor is heavenly. Having a cold glass of milk just tops it off perfectly. If I want to revert back to my childhood I make it chocolate milk!
Another sandwich that I like is with left over turkey or chicken on wheat bread with butter. YUM! Last night we had meatloaf for dinner and I am looking forward to my lunch today. I like my meatloaf sandwiches with mustard!!
Do you have any unusual sandwiches or foods like you just love?
take care,
Dawn

Jif Crunchy on whole grain bread. No jelly or potato chips for me.
But, I am hungry this morning ... so I might try it.
I love cold meatloaf sandwiches with mayonnaise, ketchup and sharp cheddar cheese.
Good morning Dawn, Your post lends a person to some deep thinking. I like Jif with bananas, honey, jam, mayo, pickles, and anything else my grandkids come up with. I usually do not eat sandwiches at all. Leftovers warmed up in a dish, is usually my favorite lunch. I don't think I am picky. Smile
Love your post, Jeanne
Pretty much any kind of sandwich with a big slice of home grown tomato. Even just tomato and mayonaise is a treat!
No peanut butter mixed with tomato though! LOL
Hmmm...I'm pretty boring when it comes to sandwiches. Crunchy peanut butter and blackberry jelly on wheat bread. Or horseradish sauce and pepper jack cheese on a bagel. Gray used to love ham and jelly sandwiches, but I could never bring myself to try that.
Isn't that the ONLY way to eat PB&J???? :o)
your sandwiches sound good to me... except for the mustard on meatloaf. gotta be mayo on mine! lol - one of my favorites is Velveeta cheese, bread & butter pickles, potato chips and mayo on white bread. yummy!!
Well Dawn; I love peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches, but it has to be Peter Pan. And when I was little, not don't go ewwwwwwww or yuck, but I used to make butter spread on both sides of the bread and sprinkle sugar on it. It was such a sweet sandwich kind of like candy. Hope I did not make any one sick. ahahaha
Hugs;

I just wrote a post about my favorite summmertime food...Mary
Lol, I just had to comment on this one. I love peanut butter (Jif creamy) and pickle relish sandwiches! On wheat bread, with pats of butter. I know, call me crazy, but I love it!
