Yesterday I met a friend for lunch. We went to our favorite restaurant and I had the most delicious bowl of French onion soup with a salad. YUM!!
Then we were going to head out for a "little" shopping. We started out at JoAnn Fabrics. I had an $8.00 return and left having spent a substantial amount more. I bought some fleece to "tie" a pink/purple pirate skull blanket for my granddaughter, Mackenzie and some black and white skull fleece for Tim. They will both be birthday gifts. (They both have birthdays in September). I also bought a heart shaped yo-yo maker because I really love what Donna did with the heart yo-yo. So of course I needed to get more fabric.
Speaking of fabric. I have made all of the Christmas stockings for members of my family. I bought some Santa fabric to make a stocking for Jack, since this will be his first Christmas.
Then, we went to A.C. Moore. I was more frugal there. Britt wants me to make her another summer shopping bag. I found the yarn I needed on sale for half price! :) I got some scuply for Tim his birthday since he is so creative with clay.
After that was a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond where the shopping spree really hit full force. I bought myself a new comforter and two bed rests for our room. I've NEVER spent that much money on a comforter before. Usually I'm too cheap!
We ended with a trip to Staples. I picked up some pencil slider cases for 1 cent each!!! I also got some tiny little staplers for the kids at school. I love their deals for teachers. I bought Brittainy a gift for her birthday next month. (She's reading this so I can't tell you what it is, but I liked it so much I got one for me too!)
After a long day of shopping I was tired! I think I'll spend today putting everything away!
take care,
Dawn

Sometimes we go overboard don't we? But the comforter looks gorgeous!

Morning, Dawn. What a wonderful day of shopping you must have had. I love onion soup and just had my oatmeal but I could eat some of that delicious liquid! Oh, your new bed linens are just beautiful! Love the softness of the colors. Thanks for popping in to see my fish jugs this morning!
