Wrist Yarn Holder

I've been knitting my little fingers to the bone these past few days. Every week a group of friends get together and spend an evening knitting, eating, talking, eating, laughing, eating. Well you get the picture. Last week a new person came to our group. One of the favorite parts of our weekly meeting is the eating show and tell. Last week Wendy, our new member, shared a wrist yarn holder that she made. It was so cute!!! The purpose of the holder is for that on the go kind of knitting. Wendy said it was good to take to the bus stop while waiting for the bus with her children. I went out the next day and bought this yarn. I love, love, love the color. I think I can safely say that green might be my favorite color. I took a little break from the sweater I am knitting Mackenzie and whipped one of this up. If you are interested the pattern can be found here.

I had Tim hold it so I could take a picture. He acted like I just put poison on his arm. BOYS! Anyway, the yarn inside is what I am using to make a scarf. If I ever go anywhere this is what I will take my knitting along in.
take care,
Dawn

Good morning Dawn,
That is so cute and useful too! Knitting just looks so complicated to me...but it is one of those things that I wouldn't mind trying to learn how to do one day!
Thanks for sharing and hopw your day is a great one.

You smartie, you. I love green, too.

But, are you certain you didn't mean to make it pink?

Just love it, Dawn! I was wondering why it wasn't pink too! ;o) Thanks for the link...I'm knitting baby socks/booties for my sister's baby this week. Hope to have some finished to share at my blog by the weekend. Happy Knitting ((HUGS))

love it! thats the color green i would like to paint my living room. (and the color you wished your kitchen would be)

still i think if wendy gets to be a new biddy that i should get to be one too.
for the snacks tho, i can't knit.
i will learn to knit a bookmark or whatnot for the snacks, but beyond that i'm probably a lost cause.

just think of having the biddy meetings in my new house. snacks are always tastier in a new house.

actually, my first project will be another beach bag because i love those.

Morning Dawn. I love the sound of that. Oh, how clever you are! I don't knit, but I can crochet to beat the band!! How nice to be able to meet and eat lol with friends to knit up a storm. Thanks for cruising with me this morning. Oh, I'll bet Nova Scotia was wonderful!
Be a sweetie and my daughters' middle name is "Dawn" - such a pretty name.

I love green too. Cute little project.

PS - I just found out you live in Cape Cod! Must be so crowded at this time of the year. Been there once...Provincetown. Very nice sand dunes and beaches.

Have a great night!

What a cute holder you made. And you made it so fast. I wish I paid more attention when my Mom was trying to show me how. All I can make is a scarf. I have lots of scarfs. hahaha

Hi Dawn,
Better late than never, right? I'm just now getting around to visiting "Pink Saturday". I agree wholeheartedly, LUCY ROCKS!!! She was one in a million. Just seeing a couple of those photos brought back the flashback of Lucy looking for her wedding ring in the chocolate candy! The photo of your little Ninja and his adversion to shots was darling as well!

Happy knitting!

Hello Dawn, better late than never. I love that color green and the yarn holder is useful as well as cute. I can see my little niece using it for her little toys. She is 5 years old.

We went tubing today and had a blast. I wanted to say hello before going to bed.

Love ya, Jeanne
