A mish mash of thoughts today!

I put in a full day in my classroom yesterday and let me tell you I was BEAT when I got home. I'd already spent a couple of hours here and there but yesterday was a long day. I cleaned out closets, tossed things that were no good and left with a messier room than when I got there! Today I plan on going in as well. The two girls I wrote about on Saturday will be with me so I will get help from them as well as Tim!!

Speaking of Tim. His birthday is next week and he has been making and revising his birthday list for a couple of weeks now. He is in to Star Wars. Last week he and Rich went to see the new Star Wars Clone Wars movie. He wrote about it on his blog last week :)

Tim gets Legos catalogs in the mail and has thumbed through it dozens of times. There is a Death Star in there with about 3,000 pieces. He really likes it but I've told him that it is too much money. ($400!!!) So when he made out his list he wrote it down anyway with a comment next to it that says "only if you want to"! Even if I did have the money to buy it I think I wouldn't. I can already hear the frustration in his voice when he couldn't find the right piece to put it together!

Brittainy posted on her blog yesterday about her new house. Last weekend I had a chance to go inside and take a look around. It's so nice and I am so happy for her. I can't wait for her to move in. I am taking this right from her blog to show you. They don't seem to be loading right so hop over to her blog and have a look.

Today is also my nieces birthday. She is the oldest of my five nieces and she is 20 years old today. Happy Birthday Tonja!!!!

take care,
Dawn

Hi Dawn,
I well remember how tired I was at the beginning of school. Until you've done it, no one realizes how much work goes into getting a classroom ready for young children.

Good luck on finding that perfect present for Tim!

Brittany's pics didn't load on my computer, so I'll check out her site.

Happy birthday to your neice.
Have a great day,
Diane

Good luck again today, Dawn. I'll be thinking about you.

Aak!!! I would say no to a $400 set of Legos, too.

I've already been by to visit Brittainy, and her house is wonderful. I'm so excited for her.

Morning, Dear Dawn! Oh poor one, I'm sorry you were so tired. I'll bet your room is going to look fantastic when you're finished. You'll have to take pictures and show us! Your little son has a blog? I clicked over to look at it just a minuet and it's wonderful! You know what? I don't blame you! I can't believe it - $400 for Legos!! My kids played with them too and I would never had dreamed some would ever be this pricey!
Now about your Divaship! You were wonderful and are just the cutest thing! I was very proud to have you join us bathroom snappers.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

Saw your bathroom diva shots over at Sheila's, they turned out cute. I've been thinking of all you educators out there, as our schools started Monday. My neighbor is a teacher; it's been nice to have her around for the summer, and I'm sorry to see her go back to work. I am thankful for so many dedicated souls who chose to take on the task of educating our young.

So many B-days this month. Happy birthday to you niece. I love it when kids make out the wish list, and your Tim only if you want to, how cute is that. You sound very busy getting your class room together. Good luck with it and get some rest. Have a good week.

Hugs;
Alaura
