Mushrooms

I am not a fan of mushrooms of any kind. I've never liked eating them. Actually I avoid them at all costs!! I think they taste like dirt and the texture gives me the creeps!

I especially don't like them all over my yard and that is exactly what I am finding this summer. I didn't think we'd had that much rain. I am actually not as good watering the back yard as I am the front yard so I didn't expect to see so many mushrooms out there. Not only are there a lot of mushrooms, but there are all different kinds of mushrooms out there. I thought for a while if I just stopped watering for a couple of days the mushrooms would go away. Nope! They still are here!

take care,
Dawn

Dawn, I haven't even grabbed myself a cup of coffee and here you are posting a comment already. I love mushrooms any kind, any way. Except yours, of course. Eating, that is. I have to say the way you presented yours is technically amazing. How do you do that? I wish I knew more about all the things you can do on a computer. I really admire your new look. when we get lots of rain the most amazing mushroom grow here. They are beautiful actually. We take pictures too. You could squash them with your foot you know. Smile

I'm glad you like the prints and the history of Paul de Longpre. Both prints are mine. I love them.

I;m going to make coffee NOW!

Love ya, Jeanne

Hi Dawn,
I've never given too much thought to mushrooms...they don't bother me if they are mixed in food too much. LOL

We don't have too many in our yard. But we've had SO much more rain! We are thankful for that~ we've only had to water the grass one time!
Have a great day,
Diane

Shudder...just the thought of eating mushrooms makes me a tad ill. But I LOVE seeing them! I have quite the extensive collection of "fungus" photos from our hikes through the years. You've got some beauties there in your yard!

Humm! So I'm thinking you just might not care for any crab-stuffed mushrooms.

The photo is great even though the shrooms are kinda smelly I bet!!! (We are so dry here that I would gladly out up with the shrooms for a little bit of rain.)
Are you back to school yet??
Have a wonderful week!!!

What great pictures of your fungi!!! You turned a bad thing into something positive with your beautiful scrapbook page! I can handle mushrooms in green bean casserole, other casseroles and pizza.
Hope you're having a great Tuesday!

Did you take the photos? I'm impressed. I don't care for mushrooms growing in my yard, but I do like them cooked, especially as chicken marsala.

Hi Dawn...thanks for stopping by my PINK Sat....

Mushroom..I can eat some types of them..but would never pick them. Funny story...when I still lived in the Seattle area...well, its damp there and shrooms grow in yards a lot...I was home sick..when shroom pickers were actually out in my yard...I wasnt' quite sure what to do! Couldn't believe that someone went around to peoples yard and did this!lol So I do get the ickyness of them growing in your yard!

Have a blessed day..Lorena

Hi Dawn
I hopped over from Justines blog. I LOVE your scrapbook pages. I have a room full of cardstock and embellishments but have lost the inclination at the moment. I'll just keep looking at yours for inspiration if that's ok?

Any fairy toadstools?

Gail

Hi Dawn, Thanks for inviting me to play a long in the song tag! I have will post it Thursday. I couldn't think of any songs at first, now I am trying to narrow it down! LOL!

I have a friend whose parents live in the WV mountains. Her mom is an immaculate housekeeper, and last week she called Casey frantic, because she had mushrooms growing in the bottom level bathroom of her house! First time that has ever happened and they have lived there a long time! Your post made me think of her!

I just love your new background! I love pink and brown combo! Hugs, Rhonda :)

So Dawn Let me get this straight. You don't like mushrooms. Hmmmmm. I just love them, now when I was a small child I hated them. So when I grew up I found out that I like them. How about that... Now Dawn put on about five prs of gloves and go and dig then up. BE strong and be brave you can do it. You are woman.

Hugs;
Alaura
