My yo-yo projects

Donna of Donna's In the Attic is hosting a yo-yo challenge. It's taken me a while to get what little I have done completed. While ideally I would have liked to make a yo yo quilt I knew that wasn't in the cards. I found directions for making these angels while searching for something to do with my yo you maker. I decided to use buttons and not ribbon. I thought they would make cute package decorations. The website that offers the instructions has an abundance of ways to package these little angels.

Before I made the angels I made some flowers. I love these flowers. Wouldn't they make a beautiful quilt? (I don't know why the colors look so washed out here!) I decided four flowers wouldn't exactly make a quilt so for now I am calling them coasters!!

I do love making the flowers. So much so that I bought this little purse at A.C. Moore for $1 and made a flower to put on it. I'll be giving this to my granddaughter. Maybe I'll put something in it for her. It's not quite finished but you get the idea!

take care,
Dawn

Oh I can just see some of those angels done in rustic prim colors with tea stained wings on a little Christmas tree...ohhhh how sweet! (you'll whip those right up for me won't you! lol) Everything looks great..I will have to try these. Thanks so much for coming by sweetie..Hope you have a beautiful Sunday!

Morning Dawn,
You are so crafty....I love those yo-yos. Those little angels would also be adorable on a Christmas tree. CUTE, cute!

My mama taught me that you never give an empty purse or wallet, so at least put a penny in it.

I've never made yo-yos! (*gasp*) I couldn't even make the thing come back up the string.

Okay, smartie pants. Here you go again. And, you made a joke that I inspire you. ;-) Ha! We both know that you are the inspired one.

These are wonderful, Dawn. I love the purse for Mackenzie. I think you should sew some cute little button centers for those flowers.

Hi Dawn,
I love all of your creations! Making yo yo's is probably something I could learn how to do.

I may have to get one of these yo yo makers!

You could really dress up lots of things with these little cuties!

Dawn, I love what you did with the yoyo's. I now have the kit and haven't done one thing. I should get inspired after I have seen what you have done. I should have some time on my hands for a while.
Have a great Sunday.

Love...Jeanne

Hi Dawn,
I'm glad you shared your yo yo's. I have a jar full and I'm stumped as to what to do with them. I even went and bought a small yo yo maker to see if I liked the size--adorable. I like your coaster :)

Hi Dawn, I found your website while scanning the craft globe, your yo-yo angels are beautiful.
I also made some and used tulle on top together with the fabric, it came out real pretty. Some tulle has glitter in it and they turned 'heavenly'. Thanks for sharing, you are so creative.
Best wishes from Michelle Clare.
