Pink Saturday #13

In just about three weeks my granddaughter, Mackenzie, will celebrate her third birthday. It's hard to believe that she is already three!!! Besides the pirate hippo that I knit for her I also made this sweater. It's called Little Miss Strawberry and I got the pattern out of Creative Knitting magazine. I like pinks and browns together and thought this sweater was pretty.

Mackenzie is not your typical girl~ She loves pirates. As a matter of fact she is having a pirate birthday party. I couldn't find pirate fabric but I did find this lovely pink skull fleece. This is the kind of blanket that you cut and tie. Last Christmas a student of mine made a blanket like this for me and it is so warm and comfy. Britt (Mackenzie's mom) is moving in three weeks to their new home and I hope Mackenzie will like the new addition to her decor!

Your sweater is beautiful! I wish I had the patience to do such a project. My daughter had a pirate party when she turned 6. It was fabulous!

I love how you sneaked some girly girly pink into the pirate blanket! Mabey pirates would have been a little nicer if they had more pink on their ships. Your pink sweater is really beautiful. Happy Pink Dawn!

.Dawn,
Thank you for coming over to my blog and checking it out.
I think the sweater is so pretty. I have never seen material like that in pink on the blanket. It looks comfy!
I am scared of people with guns who don't know how to handle them properly. I read this quote that said, "If we say guns kill people then it must be said that pencils misspell words". Thought it was funny yet true.
Hope you are having a great weekend. Have a Pink one!
