Water works

The other day when I was reading Heidi Ann's blog she had written about her grandson playing at the sink. I mentioned in my comment that Tim used to do that all of the time. This time of the year though he takes a dishpan out to the deck to play. About a week ago I bought a new dishpan for him and since Mackenzie seems to enjoy the activity as well I bought one for her. While Tim was camping this weekend Mackenzie came over and played in bubble water washing dolphins and dinosaurs.

It won't be long before those little pudgy baby hands of hers are grown up. I wanted to remember just how little they were when she was over grandma's house playing.

I did some searching of my computer files and found a layout I did of Tim when he was 6 years old playing in the dishpan on the deck. He was washing his Yu Gi Oh toys on that day. It's hard to believe that was three years ago. He's growing up too fast!

take care,
Dawn

Kids can have the most fun with the simplest of things. We used to give my son a bucket filled with water and a paintbrush. He would paint the outside of the house, the car - everything. I have pictures of him painting.

That must be a favorite of kids worldwide! We had a big metal tub that we would fill with water and Annie would literally spend hours on end playing in it with dinosaurs. Thanks for triggering those memories!

I love your scrapbook layout. I have not scrapbooked in awhile. I really need to get back to it! Great job!

Looks like great fun. Kids just love water. What an inexpensive toy.
