Deborah of Pictures Pots and Pens is hosting Friday's Favorite Family Fotos. Please stop by her blog to see who else is posting and be sure to visit them as well.

This picture was taken on my wedding day. Dear hubby, Rich is posing with my mother. Look how handsome he is!!! Next month will be 28 years since we met! We didn't get married right sense rushing into things you know :) This summer we will celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary. He's a little grayer than he was. (I keep my hair colored so I have no idea if there is gray under that red LOL!) He doesn't even need to wear glasses anymore. People used to think he was younger than me! If the truth be told he's got 5 years on me. Once we were talking about our ages and I told him that he was ten years older than me and he couldn't figure out how I came to that conclusion. At the time I was 34 (which is closer to 30) and he was 39 (which is closer to 40) and the difference between 30 and 40 is ten years. Simple math if you ask me!!!

take care,

Dawn, your math would give my dh, the math professor, a good chuckle. I am thinking of you as I drink my coffee and wishing I could have a nice chat with you in person. Have a wonderful weekend. Oh, Rich is very handsome in your photo and your mom looks looks so happy too.

Hey, Jeanne's dh here. I had to read your post because Jeanne read to me how you used simple math to calculate a 10 year age difference between you and your husband.

That was pretty good and it's called rounding to the nearest 10 years in and yours rounded down and his rounded down.

Be careful though because for example when you are 47 and he is 52 your will both round to 50 and thus you will be the same age! LOL

Good Morning Dawn
Thats a nice happy picture on your wedding day. I know what you mean. Well if I count the days to something I don't count the day I'm sitting at or the day its happening. I think only the in between counts. So I agree with your 10 years! Nice to be the younger woman..*s*.

Have a great day

Hi Dawn
Sorry it's been awhile since I came by.
Love the photo. you're like me math no thank you.
R.j. is 6 years younger than me, the problem is to this day I can never remember the date of his Birthday. We laugh about it all the time. it's either the 24th or 26th!!!

Love your "creative" math! Wonder if I should try that.
You should post a photo of the two of you together when you married.

Aww, what a wonderful picture. Wow! 28 years ago you met? How did you meet? Was it love at first sight? I love to hear the stories of how people met, fell in love and then how the proposal came. Please share :0)

That is a sweet picture of your hubby and your mom. So happy they look in the picture. I had to laugh at the 10 years thing. My hubby is 12 years older than me. Well, if you want to be exact 12 years and 2 months.

Good morning, dear Dawn. I'm sorry I didn't make it here yesterday, but my Friday was "frantic".

I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday. I'll bet you can't guess what I'm doing. ;-)

I would definitely agree that you and Rich didn't rush things. This is a wonderful picture of Rich and your mother.
