I've been tagged....book tagged!

I've been tagged by Lorrie at The View From My Door with this book tag.

The rules are:

1. Link to the person who tagged you and post the rules on your blog.

2. Share seven random and/or weird book facts about yourself.

3. Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.

4. Let each person know that they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

My seven random book facts:

1. I've never checked a book out of a library since I was school aged.

2. I love to read in bed. I can't seem to read and enjoy it anywhere else.

3. I spend WAY TOO much money on school book orders for my classroom.

4. My first favorite book series was Trixie Beldon books. I would buy them for mere pennies at the local department store when I was a child.

5. I do most of my reading during the summer when I have more time to enjoy a book.

6. I can read most children's books upside down. It's a skill when reading them to a class of children.

7. I love reading children's book that I can sing :)

Now I have to tag 7 people and they are:

Debi at Nothing of Importance (she is the most avid reader I know!)

Nola at Alamo North

Sally at Smiling Sally

and... you if you'd like to play along.

Thanks for playing along Dawn! It's so much fun reading people's lists. I love that you can read children's books upside down--definitely a teacher's skill!

Reading upside down is a talent! Thank you for tagging me. I love books, and I'll have fun doing this. I'll let you know when I put it up--probably on my bookcritiques.blogspot.com/ blog.

Good Morning Dawn
You can read a child's book upside down..*s* I can imagine you would get that skill. I love to read before going to bed and have just started doing that again the past couple of weeks - making the time even if its just a few pages. That is a result of blogging...reading about reading..so thats a good thing.
I remember Trixie Beldon books too. I had forgotten about them.
Reading is such a great thing...reading blogs is too!

have a lovely Saturday Dawn. Its raining here and dismal. I hope you have sunshine.

Thanks, Dawn. I read Trixie Belden, too. In fact, I still have mine. I plan to sell them on e-bay one of these days.

Reading upside down is quite an impressive skill. Do you have other skills you would like to share? ;-)

I could probably read upside down if I had too. I used to write upside down. Huh? Yeah, when I was working with the Severly Handicapped as an instructional aide. I would be sitting across the table from them and helping them write their name or whatever. If the child was right handed used my left hand to help them, if the child was left handed I used my right. I got pretty good at that. The only letter I would get confused with writing upside down was the "S". Oh, and I am right handed. So I guess I am kind of ambidextris. Don't know if I spelled that word right. But you know what I mean. Happy Pink Saturday!

Hello dear Dawn, I would enjoy the book tag. I loved reading your book facts. Reading upside down is a challenge. Yesterday we were in the car behind a jeep. It had these words written upside down on his back window. 'If you can read these words, please call my wife and tell her I will be home late.' It was funny and you just reminded me of this when you said you can read upside down. Bill just read your post and laughed because his example was your age now.

Have a great weekend.

Love, Jeanne

Hi Dawn!! Don't you just love these little games. I liked reading your list! Yes, my Mother likes pink...she keeps telling me when she dies, "bury me in a pink suit!" :)
Be a sweetie,

Dawn, I have been gone all day, this comment is overdue. Thanks for your comment today. I always love reading your comments.

I went shopping with my sister. I didn't buy one thing. Lol. She did and she forgot her purse so in effect I did buy something. I paid for her purchases. Smile.

Hope you had a great day.

Love...Jeanne

Oh, oh, oh...I LOVED Trixie Beldon when I was a kid, too!!! And I have no idea why, but I've always been able to read anything upside down, too...in fact, it just comes so naturally that it surprised me when I found out that not everyone can do it.

Thanks for the tag, Dawn! I'm so bad about following through on tags, but I promise that I will get around to it!
