Coffee Cozy Swap!

Every Wednesday night I get together with a group of friends to knit. We eat, talk, laugh and occasionally knit. This past Wednesday we had a coffee cozy swap. My friend Ingrid and I got each other (by default....we were the biggest whiners!)

This is the basket I got from Ingrid. I love basket! (an extra point for Ingrid for presentation!)

Inside was the coffee cozy that she knit for me! Inside the cup were a couple of candy bars and a gift card for a local coffee shop that I like. (I don't like Dunkin Donuts. Their coffee always tastes burnt to me....part of my whine!)

The next thing I saw was this game. Ingrid and I went out to dinner a couple of weeks ago and stopped in A.C. Moore. I told her that I keep wanting to by the game for myself, but never want to spend the money on me. She remembered that and put it in my basket. I was so EXCITED to see it in the basket. (more bonus points for Ingrid!)

The next thing was a lanyard that says: Where are my scissors? I can't find my scissors? Have you seen my scissors. I don't know what happened but just this week alone I have "misplaced" several of my knitting box tools!

Ingrid also included this little owl. It opens up and inside she put a few stitch markers.

Ingrid went to Holland a little while ago to visit her mother and brought this back for me. It's the cutest little coaster!

It is with love that I say:

Here is the cozy that I knit for Ingrid. Notice that we both got each other the same mug!!

While on the subject of coffee cup cozies, my daughter Brittainy, is giving away a cozy that I made on her blog, The Litany of Brittainy. Go check it out and enter to win.
take care,
Dawn

What a fun post this is--I am so jealous that you knit! It sounds like you've made some good friends in your group--the swap is a great idea. You've gotten some lovely things--I have bought Bananagram for my younger daughter's fiance who loves games and I'm hoping that he likes it. The bag it comes in is great isn't it?

What a great idea...and lots of fun too!

I need one of those things for my scissors! LOL

Dawn, I would so love to have some friends that would meet and exchange life's experiences. And knit or quilt 'some' along with our friendly chatter. I used to have friends like that from my Jr. Woman's Club. We were all in our thirties. Such is life, we have moved many times since then. Blogging has filled that void more than I ever expected.

Now for your exchange gifts. You did great. The coffee cozies are so cute. You are two peas in a pod. LOL. Love your post today.

Love...Jeanne

It was a wonderful swap and I was the lucky one to get Dawn as my swap partner :)
It was too funny that we ended up getting eachother the same mug...from the same store! As you can see from the picture, Dawn made me a beautiful cozy AND included a Dunkin Donuts g.c. *I don't think their coffee tastes burnt* ;) She also got me a wonderful eggbert frying pan (ok, I don't know if his name is really eggbert, but it's a 'frying pan for one' with an adorable handle! Of course, who could forget the english muffins??? I got a pack of those as well!
Dawn, let's make sure we rig the next swap too! You are a wonderful friend (& swap partner!) and I cherish your friendship very much.

Dawn, you and Ingrid are the best. I can't say that I'm shocked about rigged swaps. Who can imagine such a thing?!!!

And, I can't believe Jeanne referred to you as two peas in a pod. How funny!!! Who knew?!!!

Dawn, I love everything in that basket. Those cup warmers are adorable. I also never realized I could use a lanyard for anything other than keys. This has opened up endless possibilities. Thank Ingrid for me. Such cute things for a very cute person. I peeked at your daughter's blog. Dawn you whole family is cute!

You are invited to a Christmas Fair on November 21st. Stop by and read about it when you get a chance.

How cool is this? I have never ever seen a coffee cup cozy such as this! LOL! Aren't they the cutest things ever. I'll have to make my way to Brit's blog because I tend to have coffee cup in hand most times of the day.
I hope you have a great day!
