Did you miss me???

I decided to take a little blogging break. Right before Christmas I was so busy, then after I was just too tired!!! I'm sure most of you felt the same way :)

I hope you all enjoyed your holidays with your family. We had a lovely Christmas. The only mishap was when I was cooking my roast. It was so big that when I turned it over to sear it in the pan it fell off the big old fork I was using and plopped into the hot grease...which in turn splattered on my finger. Oh, it hurt so much. I ended up holding an ice pack on it for six hours before the pain went away.

We did enjoy a lovely dinner. My mother came over and had dinner with us. After dinner we went to Britt and Jay's to see them and the kids. Boy, did they have a house full of toys. I thought our house looked overrun! :)

I'm sharing a picture of our tree on Christmas morning :)

This is Tim opening his favorite gift. Santa brought him a Wii. The best part I discovered is that it will play all of his game cube games. Ahhhhh, life is good!

Here's all his loot. He is one spoiled boy!!!

In three more posts I will be celebrating my 400th post. In honor of that I will be having another give away. I'll post the picture of what the give away is tomorrow. I'll give a hint though. It is something that I knit and the color is teal!

take care,
Dawn

Oh, I sure DID miss you! I'm glad to hear that you had a nice Christmas. Tim cleaned up! How nice that your mother could spend some time with you. Family is so important. I'm sorry you had that grease burn. OUCH! That stuff does hurt.

Well, I did miss reading your post every day, but I had the benefit of talking with you on the phone.

Wow, Timmy made out like a bandit. He must be enjoying himself. Wouldn't it be nice if we lived close enough for our guys to play together?

Your tree looks so pretty. I love Christmas trees, but I guess I'll be taking mine down soon. ;-(

Hi Dawn,

I definitely missed you but I figured since you were out of school you were taking a break. Looks like a WONDERFUL Chrismas was had by everyone. Lexi got a Wii also and we have all been playing away. Her dad and I like it as much as she does....hehehe

I'm glad you weren't burned worse by the splattering grease. Those burns hurt like the dickens...OUCH

Hi Dawn
It sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas and Tim certainly did so well! I'm sorry about your finger. Those grease and oven and stove type burns hurt sooo much don't they.

I hope you have a very Happy New Year's eve with everything good for New Year's Day! I can't believe Chrismas passed so quickly...it seemed to kind of creep up and then it was over. It was a very nice one though.

Have a nice evening...see you in 2009!
