Some decorations

Since I posted about my new sewing machine (which is still in the box) yesterday. I thought I'd share something that I've sewn in the past for Christmas. I made Christmas curtains for my living room. Sine my living room is blue I chose this fabric . It has snow people on it!

Here's a close up of the fabric.
On Tuesday I bought new lights for my window, set them up, turned them on... all was good. Yesterday I came home and put the decorations on the window sill, and turned on the lights to give it a "once" over, only to find the lights don't work. I was having a "every thing is going wrong" day yesterday!!!!!
Back in the early 80's I had a craft party. I don't remember the name of the company but it was like a Tupperware party where you are shown items for sale and buy what you like. I bought the needlepoint kits below and stitched them up, framed them and I hang them every year at Christmas time.

This one is my favorite. I hang it by my Christmas tree.

Thanks for taking a look :)
take care,
Dawn

I hope that today is a good day to compensate for yesterday. Your needlework is awesome. I bet you hate to take it down after Christmas!

Your curtains are creative and would make a perfect Blue Monday post.

Dawn, I love your curtains. You need to make some gingerbread curtains for your kitchen. ;-)

Your needlepoint pictures are wonderful. I believe the Christmas tree is my favorite, too.

Today will be a good day for you.

Dawn! Get the machine out of the box! lol! Those curtains are sooo cute! When I bought the curtains for my home, I made sure I picked something that would blend well for the Christmas season...I know, I'm a dork.
I love that needlepoint. The one with the tree is my fave, although they are both very cute.
I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad day...today will be much better...you'll see :0).
Hugs!

That craft party was probably called "The Creative Circle". I have some needles from them in their case and went and looked to check the name. I also bought craft or needle work kits from them too. I will have to post a couple that I have sometime on my craft blog.

Dawn, your curtains are so festive. That was a big job. But a bigger job was the needlepoint pics. I love both of them. Good job.

Another day for a drawing. Good luck my friend. I do want you to win. LOL

Have a better day and may your lights work today. smile.

Hugs...Jeanne

Dawn those curtains are great- such a cute print. I bet you look forward to getting them out each year.

I also went to a party in the 80's and bought stitchery kits--mine were for Chrismtas ornaments that I hang on the tree each year. I wonder if it was the same company--I can't remember the name either, but I love my ornaments! Your pictures are really lovely!
